Work with the iphone when i got it and then after the update it didn't. Do not buy if you intend to use it for the iphone 3G.

Or, to look at it another way... It works perfectly as a watch and provides iPod/Phone control as a bonus!

The specific things I really liked about this watch:

Large clear display
Comfortable band
Decent sized (big enough for a man's watch without being clunky)
Light weight
Buttons are easy to press
Full set of functions
Effective backlight
Reasonably priced

All the above *plus* it controls my iPod and iPhone 3G. I use that part for music cues during my shows. I was looking for some kind of sports watch and picked this one because the price was reasonabnle and it include the iPod control. Having used the watch I would buy it again even without the iPod control features.

This was a Christmas gift for my husband. When he opened it, he was very surprised and excited to try it out. Quite a shock and disappointment when he was going through the instructions and the lower left button popped off and fell on the floor. We were afraid to exchange it, so asked for a refund. :-(

I returned it because it wasn't compatible with my iPod Classic. The seller could have saved me some time and frustration by specifying the compatibility. It's like most marketing these days: push the latest gadgets and don't even consider the needs of people who can't afford to upgrade every time the maker adds more bells and whistles. In my opinion, it's simply another example of planned obsolescence. I'm certainly not going to buy another iPod with video capability that I neither need nor want just so I can then spend even more for a watch to control the iPod. Of course, then, my present, very serviceable iPod Classic would either be relegated to a closet or worse, a landfill already overladen with analog TVs, cell phones, and other products left behind in our rush to acquire the latest toy. When is all of this virtually meaningless technological tinkering going to end ?

I saw a demo of this watch recently and I am hard-pressed to understand its value. It might be a nice accessory if you use a high capacity IPod (Classic, Video, etc.) and don't have immediate access to its controls. However, this product essentially provides a remote forward/back/pause control for IPods...and a watch/timer. For the same money (currently on sale for <$50 at Amazon), you could buy an actual IPod (Shuffle) and clip the device within easy reach, thereby mitigating the need for yet another device (or, in this case, two devices since you need both the watch and the adapter to control an IPod). If this watch offered something significant in the way of added value or functionality (say, a heartbeat monitor...which the description implies, but is NOT included), then I'd be more impressed. As it is, it just adds another layer of complexity to a device that doesn't need it.

(That, and this might be the ugliest watch I've ever seen. I'd be very self-conscious wearing this in public.)
